Mekeshia built a life of remarkable versatility, determination, and care.
Mekeshia Shanquietta Sanchez, born October 3, 1984, passed away on September 8, 2026. Her life was marked by devotion to faith, deep love for her family, and a calling to serve others with both skill and compassion.
Mekeshia built a life of remarkable versatility, determination, and care. She served in the medical field as a CNA, LPN, Registered Nurse, and Nurse Practitioner, bringing knowledge, strength, and comfort to those entrusted to her care. Her working life also reflected her wide-ranging talents and fearless spirit, as she was also a CDL truck driver and a cosmetologist. In every role, she carried herself with purpose and a desire to help people.
Her faith was central to who she was. Mekeshia loved the Lord, and that love was evident in the way she lived and in the kindness she extended to others. She found joy in fishing, cooking, teaching, helping people, crow shading, crafts, and making bracelets. She especially loved doing her family’s hair, with a particular tenderness for caring for her husband in that way. These simple and beautiful acts reflected the warmth she gave so freely.
Above all, Mekeshia was family oriented and made sure everyone had everything they needed. She was a motivator to others, encouraging those around her with her strength, her generosity, and her example. Her presence brought reassurance, and her care left a lasting impression on the many lives she touched.
She found joy in fishing, cooking, teaching, helping people, crow shading, crafts, and making bracelets.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Sanchez; her daughters, Alicia Davis and Jayla Sanchez; her mother, Dedra Burrows; her fathers, Rondall Burrows and Michael Clayton; her sister, Dianca Woulard; her brothers, Anthony Johnson and Malik Johnson; her sister, Precious Farmer; her uncles, Samuel Hafley and Charles Hafley; and her aunt, Ruth Mary Hafley.
